The road to the world's highest peak, Mount Everest, has been named 'Ngimdorji Sherpa Tourist Road'. Khumbupasanglamu village municipality ward no. Spokesperson Lhakpachiri Sherpa said that the road from Kharikhola to Nachipang is named after Sherpa. A meeting of the village executive committee on Sunday decided to name the road after Sherpa. Spokesperson Sherpa said that the road was named after the chairman. The distance of the road from Kharikhola to the village municipality center is 50 kilometers. The people of Khumbu have said that Sherpa, who has made a name for himself as a great youth leader in the Khumbu region, is seen by the people of Khumbu as a popular leader.
At the local level in Nepal, Khumbupasanglamu ranks first in the list of revenue collectors in the tourism sector. Revenue of Rs 2,000 per tourist has been collected.
