Kathmandu, Nepal - In a ceremony commemorating 25 years of dedicated service, Yeti Airlines was recently recognized and honored by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal.
The regulatory body commended Yeti Airlines for its unwavering commitment to Nepal's aviation sector over two decades, a remarkable feat in an industry that has seen many airlines cease operations in the country. The Managing Director of the Civil Aviation Authority, Mr. Pradeep Adhikari, presented the prestigious award, acknowledging Yeti Airlines' steadfast dedication to providing essential aviation services.
Mr. Lhakpa Sonam Sherpa, the Executive Chairman of Yeti Airlines, highlighted the airline's numerous accomplishments, including its sustained operations, job creation, and significant contributions to Nepal's economy. He also expressed the airline's ambition to transition into a public company, thereby offering the opportunity for the public to become shareholders and airline owners.
Accountable Manager Anoj Rimal reflected on the airline's 25-year journey, noting the challenges faced, particularly in the aftermath of an unfortunate incident last year that temporarily impacted passenger confidence and demand. He emphasized that the situation has since improved, and Yeti Airlines is enthusiastic about the future with the continued support of the Civil Aviation Authority.
Mr. Rimal reiterated the airline's unwavering commitment to aviation safety and its determination to progress in partnership with the Civil Aviation Authority.
The honor ceremony, attended by several Yeti Airlines officials, including Managing Director Chanda Sherpa and Director Norbu Sherpa, celebrated the airline's resilience and contributions to Nepal's aviation landscape.
