Solukhumbu, Nepal - September 27, 2023: In a concerted effort to combat the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, authorities in Solukhumbu have initiated a vaccination campaign across four key municipalities. Ram Narayan Shah, the Information Officer at the Solukhumbu District Health Office, has provided crucial details about this pivotal public health campaign.
The four municipalities selected for this vaccination drive are Mahakulung Rural Municipality, Sotang Rural Municipality, Nechasalyan Rural Municipality, and Thulung Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality, each of which will play a crucial role in the fight against the virus.
According to Mr. Shah, the vaccination campaign aims to distribute a total of 1,200 vaccine doses in Sotang Rural Municipality. Furthermore, Nechasalyan, Mahakulung, and Thulung Dudhkoshi Rural Municipalities will each receive an allocation of 3,500 vaccine doses. These doses will be administered to eligible residents, prioritizing the safety and well-being of the local population.
The vaccination campaign is scheduled to officially commence on September 29, 2023. This initiative reflects the region's commitment to curbing the spread of COVID-19 and protecting the health of its residents.
