They're thrilled to announce that FREE blood services are now available to all Kathmandu Metropolitan residents.
In Kathmandu Metropolitan's ongoing commitment to equal access to healthcare, they're ensuring that healthcare services are easily accessible to everyone. Starting from Ashwin 22, 2080, in partnership with the Nepal Red Cross Society, they're providing FREE blood transfusion services to all Kathmandu Metropolitan residents when they seek treatment at any hospital.
Their primary aim is to minimize the risk of fatalities due to blood shortages during emergencies or medical conditions. Residents holding proof of Kathmandu Metropolitan residency or address can contact the Nepal Red Cross Society's Central Office for free access to blood and blood components.
To address the issue of blood scarcity in the capital, they'll be organizing regular blood donation programs at various health centers. Social and non-governmental organizations conducting blood donation camps will receive a grant of NPR 200 per unit to cover communication and transportation expenses.
These programs not only raise awareness but also create a friendly atmosphere for blood donors. Additionally, for medical purposes, they'll provide NPR 1300 per unit for blood grouping and cross-matching expenses.
They appeal to all Kathmandu Metropolitan residents and stakeholders to make the most of this initiative, ensuring that patients receive timely and adequate care during emergencies and treatments. Let's come together to support this initiative and improve healthcare accessibility for everyone.
